Do you have the piece you knocked out? Does it look like it's still intact, or did you snap off a bit of plastic when you knocked it out?
If it's still intact, then I would guess it should just snap back into position. Might be a little tricky to get it to line up with the two sets of louvers, but I wouldn't think you'd need to replace that entire unit.

Hey, thanks for the reply! As you can imagine… the vent has snapped completely, Sod’s law! I’ve taken a look online but can’t seem to find replacements at all… only the entire unit.
just go to a wrecking yard/dismantler and see if they have the while unit and then when you get it, just replace the whole thing or just the single vent it is a lot less expensive than the dealership...
I have the same issue, but on the right side. The little tab on one of the ends that slide into the hole broke. I've been looking online for a while and they only replacement I found so far is wanting to replace the whole rear unit because it pops off, but I only need that one vent slider.
Best bet is a junk yard, because on amazon it's like $60 for the unit.
I'm interested in looking for a replacement too, but I'm not trying to spend more than $10-$15 for it, when it's rare that anyone is sitting in the back seat anyway.
