Greetings all! As we all know, the stock halogen low beams are terrible. So, I purchased these $30 H7 LED bulbs that seem to be working fine (they come on and look good). However, I keep getting the messages to check my Left and Right headlamps. They are working fine, Could the bulbs themselves be causing the error? Something tells me this is the source...

BTW, I have a 2013 C300 4matic.

If the LED bulbs are not designed to have the same impedance as the (terrible) H7 halogen bulbs, the warnings will be generated. Phillips and Sylvania make high performance H7 bulbs with 55 Watt filaments that give 60%-100% increase in light output. The H7 100 Watt bulbs are for off road use only and may get so hot they deform plastic housings.

Be aware, though, that the high performance H7 bulbs have a shorter lifetime than the standard bulbs and cost quite a bit more.

Also, all halogen headlight bulbs light output falls off over time. A new standard H7 bulb will look like an improvement over a 5 year old bulb.
