Hello,

I am replacing rear shock with Bilstein b6 which does still need a shock bump stop. Dealership will only sell their shock bumper with their shock and mount together. They discontinued part 2043210206 the oe bump stop. Autozone and advanced auto don’t have a universal part. Mine is very dry rotted and don’t really wanna put it back in. Any experience with this? Merc wants me to give up DIY and take it to them or the scrapyard I guess lol.

yeah when I look those up they come up as strut bumpers for the front. Would pry work but I think the hole diameter is too big. Rock auto has it listed wrong I think. I only see this part in stock in Europe.

why don’t you order it from Europe ?

well other than the 50$ shipping for a 14$ part I figured it would take weeks to get here. Wanted to get all up in that new suspension today. Some a$$hole at merc corporate thought if he discontinued that part I would only use genuine premium Mercedes’ Benz shock assemblies made by Sachs and Bilstein but rebranded so that’s close enough screw it.

yeah I called him yesterday. None actually in stock they order through mb. Probably just gonna order another c class one for a different year/type
