corroded part

This part was corroded from water and was cleaned with a brush and some electrical cleaner. The part seems to be a new now but the car is still having issues, would looking at the part with a naked eye be deceiving whether the part is in good condition or not?

This part turned out to be a power distributor for the ECM. I replaced it and the car runs now
