Bolts of oil filter housing

Bolts of oil filter housing
Are the bolts of the filter housing in the left rear side of the sport turbo c250 2012 facing the intake manifold or the firewall. My question is to just to get an idea of what to expect before digging in blindly. I can not see the bolts nor have any ideas where to start

I do not have to replace the starter but want to know if removing the intake would be sufficient to access the housing.

Like I said, in my car I had to remove the starter to see the bolts. Once removed, I could see the bolts. Looks like mine is a 2013 and yours 2012. That makes a difference, from my research, thou both are W204, the facelifts are different may be.
