Jump starting / flat battery(?) on C320 CDI
I tried starting my car recently and was greeted two two-three cranks then a hard-shut off. All interior electronics are still working, I suspect it's a flat battery due to leaving my park lights on
I'm going to attempt a jump-start by using a battery jumper-pack but am a little confused, there is only a single, large battery under the boot liner, but there are polarity terminals under the bonnet (I've checked under the air-box, definitely no accessory battery). My questions are as follows:
- Should I jump the car to the terminals under the bonnet or directly to the battery?
- Are there any major risks in jump-starting the car?
- Am I better off jumping the car with the battery of another vehicle?
- I assume the diesel engines require higher amperage to start, Does anyone with experience in starting a similar-sized engine (3.5L Diesel) have recommendations for jump starters?
