Weird noise on cold startup

Weird noise on cold startup

Went to dealer and weren't able to figure it out, any ideas? Makes this noise on cold days (sub-zero temps), the colder it is, the louder it gets and lasts longer. Idk if the video can show it, but it initially sounds like some grinding noise followed by the squeak noise noticeable in the video, which fades away.

I would remove the aux belt and see if the noise goes away and work from there.

When cold, oil flows slower. What engine oil and grade do you use?

Have to agree. Tensioners and pulleys make some oddball noises when going bad. And not the same noise all the time every time.
