CEL on after longer drive on highway
Hi all,
I bought my first Mercedes a couple of months ago, and i am really happy with it.
Unfortunately, it will sometimes turn on the CEL light, and go into limp mode and i can't quite figure out what is wrong with it. I really hope some of you can help me out on this. - I would really appreciate your help.
Usually, the light comes on after about 50km on the highway on the way home from work. It has never done it on the way to work in the morning. But, it doens't make the error every day. Normally it will do it one or two times a week.
I have tested it with an Abrites tester, which displays following trouble codes:
Motor electronics:
P061B04
P061B85
Adaptive brake:
P626400
P621500
As i understand, the P061B error codes describes an Internal Control Module Torque Calculation Performance error.
I have therefor tried to replace the MAP sensor, the air intake filter and the fuel filter. However, these changes didn't cause any change.
Afterwards, i have tried to drive a couple times to work in 'manual', causing the engine to run around 2500 - 3000 rpm for 20-30 mins, to force the regeneration of the DPF. This didnt change anything either.
Do any of you have an idea of what is causing these errors, and causing the limp mode / CEL? Or do you have any ideas of where to look next, to narrow down the error?
I look foward to hear from you.
Sincerely,
Rasmus from Denmark

"W204" isn't sufficient information. What year and model car do you have?
