Finally got the “Inoperative See Owners Manual” warning light. Threw my alignment out
So I know this has been asked before but since my alignment was thrown out, I figured I’d ask and see if anyone experienced this and could offer some input.
Changed my front brake discs and all four pads two weeks ago. Everything was good. A couple days ago I’m driving and I see this pop up. I notice that my steering wheel is out of alignment by probably 10 degrees to the left now as well (when I’m driving straight) . I initially thought that I may have bumped or damaged the wheel speed sensors but the alignment being out doesn’t make sense.
Excluding the steering wheel being out of alignment, the car drives fine.
I assume it’s the steering angle sensor? Is there any way to confirm without bringing it to MB to do a STAR diagnostic? What do they even charge for something like that?
Really appreciate any input you guys may have.
Edit: both of the ESP indicator lights on the left gauge are lit up too. It’s hard to see since the image was compressed.

I suggest going to an independent Mercedes Benz shop if there is one nearby. Many will not charge for diagnosis if they do the repairs. Ask first.
My guess is that dealer charges for diagnosis will be $180-$300.
