Would this code be the culprit for unusual gas consumption and vibrating during acceleration?
Would I be able to fix the turbo or must be replaced?

May not be the turbo itself.
Any air leak on the output side of the turbo will set this code.
Check the boost hose for cracks.
Check the bypass valve & waste gate for proper operation.
