The button on the lock door switch are all scratched and the black painting is going away. The switch is working fine, the buttons just don't look good. I bought some button replacement but I cannot find any instructions anywhere on how to replace the buttons without to disassemble the switch. Does anyone have some tips?
One of my door lock buttons started to peel, when I accidentally laid some vinyl wrap on it when I was wrapping the trim it peeled one button.
Also my window button is peeling... I bought replacements and I tried to pop out one button and it just would go and ended up messing up the surroundings.
Been kind of apprehensive about doing it again. I also used a tiny flathead to try to prey it and it was a no go...
The peeling buttons is certain an annoyance I want to get rid of. probably got watch this video a bunch of times to sike myself up to replacing them.
I would take a piece of small diameter rubber hose, like for windshield washers, and slip it over my small flat head screwdriver with small piece cut out on lower half side to expose the flat tip metal.. A little soap on the rubber side tip for ease of access...don't soap up the entire length or hose will slide up.
