HELP!
I stupidly cut the iPod cable in my 2008 c300 to be able to use the aux and my command now shuts off after 30 mins and the steering wheel control for volume no longer works, what can i do to fix this

the one that you posted is a bit newer, my car is a 2008 c300. and to replace it i would have to open the entire glovebox and replace the one i cut? how difficult is the wiring for that? I already know how to open the glovebox to get to the command

Alot of these newer models are very particular with the aux cable. if the system detects an issue with the aux itll disable the whole system. its quiet silly. I just went through the same thing with my Q5. Swapped the whole radio unit. for a week messed with it because I had no function with the radio or sound. turned out the computer couldnt see the aux cable, once I plugged it in everything fixed itself.
