Hey, I have 2008 c300 (w204) the car was running good on 183k miles and had no engine light, all of the sudden when I got in the car last week and put in drive from parking the car jerked really bad and when I took it for a drive after that it didnt shift from the first gear.

I heard that the conductor plate and valve body on these cars and on these transmission goes bad but my mechanic is saying that it could be the torque convertor at this point im thinking to change the whole transmission.

Any thoughts what could be the reason?
