2009 C300 - Transmission?

I'm taking my car in on Tuesday (soonest my mechanic has after waiting 2 weeks) but wanted to get some insight first.

I have a 2009 C300 Luxury with 108k. When I start it after it has been sitting for a day or two, there is a ticking noise from the passenger side in the engine. When the car warms up to temperature, the noise goes away. Also, I park my car on the 4th floor of a parking garage and when I drive down there is a push feeling when the car tries to switch gears (more like every other gear). When I get the car outside, it feels fine except for 4th gear where it is a little hesitant while driving. My gas consumption hasn't changed at all and I got an oil change roughly 1500 miles ago. I feel like a transmission service is obvious as it's never had one done in the 8 years I've owned the car however, could the ticking be from the transmission or something else?

If you are the original owner and with those mileage you have not changed the tranny fluid then you might have a tranny waiting to fail on you. Is there any whining sound coming out? If there is then it might be too late for that tranny.
