Alternator issue? C320 W204
C320 CDI W204. The battery light came on the dash intermittently over a few days. The car then stopped. Battery flat.
When checking the exciter wire removed from the alternator there is no power on the single pin plug with ignition on.
I take it there should be power there with ignition on.
Can someone please confirm a check procedure as the next step is alternator removal which does not look a nice job on a home garage floor
