Help with Option Code Decoding

I am looking to upgrade our w204 to another with similar options, but much lower mileage and when comparing the Option List from decoding the VIN, there are a couple options i am not sure what they mean. One car is a 2014 and the other is a 2013 if that makes a difference.

2013 has, but 2014 does not:

929 ENGINE FOR ETHANOL FUEL E85
312B HEAD UNIT LANGUAGE - AMERICAN ENGLISH
U71 DVD PLAYER WITH REGIONAL CODE 1, USA

I am guessing the 2nd two are because the 2013 has NAV, which the 2014 does not. THe first one however, I am not sure of.

Now, the 2014 has these options, which the 2013 does not:

876 INTERIOR LIGHT ASSEMBLY
917 PZEV EMISSION USA
10A OIL OFFSET AMOUNT +1000 ML OIL
30A COVER WITH ADDITIONAL DAMPER ATTACHMENT POINT
A20 DIRECT START
A63 FE TORQUE CONVERTER HOUSING-0
A64 FE CONVERTER 0 MM
A68 TRANSMISSION HOUSING WITH DEEP OIL LINE CONNECTION
A87 U VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY WITH VGS 3
A89 REDUCED-FRICTION
G960 TRANSMISSION CODE VERSION 60

I am not sure what 876 Interior Light assembly is, and if it is worthwhile
I am also not sure what the rest of them are, and if they are useful. It almost seems like those are all options for PZEV, but is there any noticeable difference in them? Does anyone have any details on this, or were all 2014's given this option?

The biggest one I see is that the 2013 has a “flex” fuel engine (929) and can use E85 (85% ethanol) and the 2014 does not and will have to use 91 octane gasoline with 20% ethanol maximum.

876 is the ambient light package. Adds accent lights on doors, footwells, and maybe exterior locator lights. It’s exact implementation varies from country to country and even region to region. It’s LED on a 2015, not sure about 2014. Sort of makes a C-Class feel more like an E-Class.

Thanks for the response. Does that mean that the 2013 does not need Premium and could run regular without issue?

Also, for the 876 lighting package, was this added for 2014, or an option for all model years? I do not see it listed in the brochures I've looked at for 2012-2014.

On the octane required, maybe not. E85 actually has an effective motor octane higher than regular gasoline. The fuel filler door decal should tell you. But I had an E-Class that was built to SA specs and it could run on anything from 80 octane gasoline to 90% ethanol.

The 876 option definitely wasn’t available on the 2013 W204, because I asked about ambient lighting that my E-Class had. I didn’t think that it became available until the W205 came out, but Mercedes and other German builders sometimes introduce features gradually and not by model year.

Interestingly, I went out and checked on the 2014 and I don't see any of the ambient lighting other than footwell in it. It has puddle lights in the mirror outside too. And the Dash menu only had options for daytime running lights and surround lighting options. So maybe it was accidentally added or incorrect.

Maybe 876 refers to the puddle lights (???). My ‘13 doesn’t have those either. Or maybe it is a mistake. My ’21 GLB’s online Data Card has 3 minor things on it that aren’t on the one the dealer has for it.
