Radio problems

I have a c230 2007 and just got a new andriod 10 radio for christmas. I bought an adapter for the car and connected it to the radio and at first I noticed that when the car was running with the adapter on, the headlight lights would cut on, the srs would pop up, fan, the “check break fluid” signal would come up on the cluster, and keyfob would not work and when I took the adapter out, everything would go back to normal. My dad connected the wake up wire to the cigarette light plug and now the radio works with no problem but all the problems from the start would show for a little then stop everytime the car was in ignition mode, but the fan still stays running. If anyone knows what’s going on and may have a solution, I would reaappreciate the help, thank you. harness in question Pls help

The systems you describe as having problems communicate through the CAN Bus. CAN bus is a message-based protocol allowing individual systems, devices, and controllers within a network to communicate. In general, a bus is a multi-node communication system that transfers data between components. A Controller Area Network allows for robust, low-latency, data transfer between sensors and compute units in a system.

I suggest that you determine whether your Android head unit is connected to the CAN Bus through the adapter you installed. If it is, it is possible that the head unit is sending a signal that other devices on the system are finding troublesome. What brand head unit did you buy? I would be surprised if a brand like Kenwood, Pioneer or Alpine would cause this problem. If it is a system manufactured in China by a less established company that may the source of the problem.

Good luck.
