Bigger tires Info needed
My stock measurements are:
Front: 225/45/17
Rear: 245/40/17
OPTION 1:
If I change them to the 18" wheels it will affect the odometer as follows:
F: 235/40/18 shows a variance of +1.72% (101.72 Km/h @ 100 Km/h)
R: 255/35/18 shows a variance of +1.25%
OPTION 2:
BUT if I use the 255/35/18 on both the variance is as follows:
F: +0.24%
R: +1.25%
Does anyone know if it is better to just keep the variance as low as possible no matter what which would be OPTION 2,
OR
Is it better to try to keep the variances as close to each other as possible which would be OPTION 1
My other worry with Option 2 is potential rubbing of the tire. Does anyone have any experience going up in the sizes that are mentioned.
Thanks!

I have done this on a previously owned 2011 C300, removed the stock 17”s and added AMG 18”s, with no rubbing whatsoever.
