Trying replace old fog lamp with DRL led. but no luck
1. After plugging the power jack into that DRL and turning on the light, then the new DRL led keeps flashing.
2. On the dash show up the error "fog lamp".
After a few mins, I figure out about my new DRL led consumes 11w but the old fog lamp use 50w. I've tried to add more led lights to make it work together with DRL (total of about 30w) and WOW my new DRL led works well... That means my car knows that DRL led consumes power less than an old fog lamp.
Any suggestion that can help me make it work without plugin more LED light?
Here is my video about new DRL-led flashing!
thanks in advance!

If you haven’t solved this already:
My back of the envelope calculations show a shunt resistor (i.e., connected in parallel with the led light bar) of 6.8 ohms, 25 watts, @20% tolerance is needed. This a common resistor for this application. $2-$5 USD each. Tighter tolerance is okay but may cost a bit more.
