I don't know anything about throttle issues. This is usually out of reach for chaos. It limp-mode in a blink.... rarely.
If you have CPS located on top of valve cover then you have access to see the top of VVT-gears simply by pulling CPS out. There are few YT about that check.

Still has misfires at idle - but the P2015 code has disappeared . it is now showing P2006 which is intake manifold runner stuck closed. I am really suspecting some vacuum leak as the manifold codes are random. Probably the MAF is not sensing the leaked air and the fuel is probably too lean to cause misfire randomly on all cylinders. Need to figure out where the vacuum is leaking in.

A smoke test will certainly help find any leaks.

Just an update - replaced the intake manifold again with another one. The first manifold - the actuators were a little bit sticky probably causing the P2015 code. Also replaced the spark plugs once again (had only 40000 miles) and found that one of the spark plug had some deposits which caused the misfire. Now seems to be driving fine - even with the P0016 and P0017 which I have had for the last 90K miles. so back to where it was.
Thanks once again everyone for the support.
