2009 C300 Sport Won't Go Into Drive + Other issues
Hello, I have a 2009 C300 Sport. Recently the car will not go into drive. The gear selector seems to be stuck. On the gauge cluster screen it says 'Cruise Control Inoperative' and 'ESP and ABS system malfunction'. The radiator fan stays at max speed and sometimes the car doesn't even want to run. The gauge cluster also freaks out, the rpm and the fuel gauge will go up and down constantly. We just had a new battery put in it as well. The blinkers, horn, brights, and wipers also will not work. Sorry if I am listing issues kind of all over the place, im just supplying as much info as possible.

Were these problems present before the battery change?
If not, did anything out of the ordinary happen while changing the battery? Did the (+) short to ground, even momentarily?
Was an attempt made to jump start the car?
Was the alternator or the starter changed?
Multiple seemingly unrelated failures often have a common cause.
