2010 C300 Rusted Exhaust Heat Shield Falling off fixed
So I started hearing this horrible vibration from the back of the car... Upon closer inspection one heat shields fell off and was resting on top of a muffler
When I got under the car, the other heat shield was just about to fall off as well..
Did some googling and decided to use some galvanized stripping (pipe hangers) and some Push Nuts (the bolts looked so rusted, a new nut wouldn't go on) to resecure them...
Totally Rusted through (Left Side) Right side Cut a piece of stripping and put it onto the bolt Then I pushed the Push Nuts on to the bolt to hold everything together... I removed the bit from a screwdriver and then used the hollow shaft to go over the bolts to push the Push Nut into place
