I’m new. I just picked up a C300 yesterday that has a Right Passenger SRS warning. Through searching, I found that this can sometimes mean a problem with the connector under the seat. I took a look and found that one wire had been pulled out and the inside is corroded.
Before undertaking a repair, I wanted to get some advice into how difficult this is to fix. I would assume I need some way to remove the corrosion and then I have to crimp the wire back in? Has anyone had any experience with this? Thanks in advance. Yellow connector with wire pulled out. Wire pulled out and the connector hole has green corrosion inside. Not sure if this should be connected to anything, I found it unplugged with no obvious connection point.
Ive repaired harnesses before and i was able to find the specific metal pins new and use those. Push the old pin out, probably held in by a plastic tab.
Heres an example. no idea what yours specifically looks like.
