2014 Mercedes C250
Michelin CrossClimate 2 for 2014 Mercedes C250 RWD

I have a 2014 Mercedes C250 RWD with 225/45R17 front and 245/40R17 tires. I would like to buy Michelin Cross Climate 2 (CC2) tires to drive in snow without changing to winter tires, but CC2 does not have 245/40R17 size. What are my options?

(a) Can I simply use 225/45R17 tires on the rear wheels (same as the front)? Will this require changing the wheels, or I can use the same wheels?
(b) If option (a) requires changing the rear wheels, can I change all wheels and tires to 225/45R17?
(c) Can I upgrade to 18" wheels and use 225/40R18 and 255/35R18 tires? Will this be better than option (b)?

Option (a) is my preferred option due to the low cost. Thank you in advance for all the recommendations!

You should check with your dealership just to compare prices. I have found my dealership to be competitive. They will also help you pick the best for your car.
