Trunk being difficult to close sometimes...

Hello folks! Hoping for some suggestions or experience on this one. Lately, for me to close my trunk, I have to slam it really hard to catch. Never needed to do this until about 2-3 months ago.

Any ideas on how to make the trunk latch work better? I'm thinking something is stuck or not working as well as it once did.

Thanks!
Lance

Use a flat head screwdriver and try to manipulate the latch on the trunk lid. See if its sticking. if so spray some white lithium grease up in there. Recently my hood wasnt staying closed when shutting it, few squirts of grease on the spring freed up the latch part. Looks like theres a plastic cover over it so hard to see whats going on, can probably remove the plastic trim with a torx bit then remove that plastic cover somehow, not sure how it fits together.
