I think it was black at some point, I just brought the car and I’m not sure if this is a normality or discoloured. If so is there anything I can do about it?

I replaced full set of sealing rails. I learnt from this experience that a set is very expensive especially rearmost. Front door, rear door easy, loosen front mirrors. Be very careful not to damage plastic end to front door window trim. If I were to do this again I would go to Wrap Shop

I think it's kinda like black chrome and tarnishes after a while. Personally, I would tape it off with blue painter's tape, rough it up a bit with a scouring pad, and paint it. How much money do you want to put into an 11 year old car for cosmetic reasons? No one will be able to tell the difference. I repainted my wiper arms because the anodization came off over the years.

The car is very average cosmetically so I don’t be putting heaps in, it’s just a little bit more noticeable then I’d like. Maybe running some black vinyl tape down might be the go, just worried it would peal off.
