Replace rear seat armrest/cup holder

I have searched and searched for an answer to this question. I feel like I am not typing in the right set of words when searching. I want to replace the rear seat fold down armrest/cup holder. To make sure you know what I am talking about I added pictures. The root problem is my kids broke the cup holder. But it is on that flips put not sticks in the end. (Saw plenty of help on that kind) It would be a simple part to replace but I cannot buy just the one part only the whole thing. I fear that I will have to remove one of the seats to replace it. Any ideas?

Not sure what you are asking. Where to find the replacement part or how to replace it? Parts diagram shows it comes as one part with the padded seat. I cant seem to find the part# for alpaca grey color which you seem to have, same as my car. Im sure its easy to replace, I just never looked how to.

Can find replacements on ebay. Im sure the cupholder itself can be removed and replaced. Can always just buy the cheapest armrest you can find and use it for the cupholder.

Looks like you may have the fold down seats. Still same part#'s and should be installed the same way as the non folding.

Thank you so very much for your posts.

Yeah, I am an idiot. I have the part and need to replace it. It is the split seat so I can fold down the left half and I think get it out. But I may have to remove the left half to do it. I'll search some more on how to do that. because I don't think I can remove part,620 maybe, with out the left side out. I'll add pictures tomorrow. But I am definitely an idiot not thinking about it being like the second diagram.

Like I said, I am an idiot. I should have spent more time looking at my car than just searching online. I still have not found instructions for replacing this particular part and all I can find are full seat changes. But fortunately for me my seat has a separate left and right seatbacks. So if you look at the picture I think all I need to do is move one piece, circled. But the bottom looks like it may be a bit trapped by the left seatback so I may have to remove it. We'll see.

Till fighting with this. The PDFs offer a clue and may be right but since I have split folding seats the removal of the back seat backrest cover does not seem to be quite right.

Have you removed the drivers side seat/cover (part 30/50) in the diagram above. To me it looks like that has to be removed to access Parts 640/650.

Not yet, but coming around to that idea. I suspect another possibility but not sure when I can try it.

I have the exact same issue with mine, going to replace the entire arm rest. Thanks for making a video. In the end was there a more straight forward way to do it? Perhaps its possible just to replace the cup holder mechanism without pulling the seats out? Many thanks again.

I apologize for the delay in response. I was on vacation and I'd swear I typed something up but who knows.

I could not find any other way. Specifically I could not find parts for just the cup holder itself. And honestly once I figured out how to get the seats out it really is not bad. I am moderately skilled and could do it all from start to finish in less than 30 minutes.

Cool thanks for the replay. That sounds promising, I've found a used armrest with the cupholders in working order so will follow your video step by step .
