air tube 2013 C250

This is what I found after taking out all the tape holding this together from the previous owner.





















This is fit snuggly does it still need a clamp or a zip tie will do?

I would clamp it. Clamps are inexpensive. Failures on the road aren’t.

I tried to use the spring clamps but they were so hard to align and install so I will just use a regular worm gear type clamp

I don't think that's an air tube. Looks like a coolant hose. I also don't think the fusing tape is a good long-term solution.

I do not know if a misfire could be caused by this tube leaking could be since the intake air volume is measured by the MAF sensor. After I replaced that hose the car runs smoother and was no longer sluggish and then leading to a misfire. Anyway we shall see if the misfire does not come back.
