Pre Facelift Indicator Switch
Does anyone know if you can remove and replace just the indicator switch part from a non electric steering column indicator into the electric adjustment column or do they have to be replaced as a complete unit. Have attached photos of a standard and non standard stalk/sqib assembly, first has no electric adjustment and the second has the electric adjustment switch. Hopefully the above makes sense!
Going to purchase a second hand non electric adjustable and strip to see if you can replace just the indicator mechanism.
A new electric adjusting stalk is about $1900 in Aus plus installation and a second hand unit is still around $800.
Will post the results when i get around to stripping both
I am hoping to just strip and replace the indicator assembly from the clock spring/stalk and leave the cruise/limiter original as it appears that once the column cover is removed, the indicator assembly can be removed from the clock spring.
Photo was just an example from ebay.
