So i bought the car about a year and a half ago and didnt touch it for some time. Recently ive been doing work on it and found a lot of unknown issues from when i bought it ill give you the list of them. Windscreen is cracked, rims are not the correct lug pattern, pools of water in the floor pan prodominatly the driver side. Car was throwing muiltpule engine codes. the current issue im dealing with is that when ever i shut the car off the dash says my high beams all exterior lights are on if i go to start the car again the dash then illuminates the parking brake and high beams(head lights flicker aswell). ive replaced the two can bus distributors on the driver footwell aswell as thourghly cleaned each connecter on the driver and passanger side. Car still doing the same thing from before replacing and cleaning. Any sugestions or thoughts car need to be inspecting in 5 days

For the light staying on, this was a bad light switch for me which is common for the 204 and related chassis that use the same switch. There's also the issue of water ingress, which brings it's own shorting issues, which need to be corrected first and foremost. Then you'll need new (correct) wheels, replace the windshield, then on to the engine trouble codes. You probably won't make that 5 day deadline if we're being honest, so might as well take your time and do it right.

If you have standing water in the floorpan, there is a good chance that water infiltrated the wiring and will wick its way to whatever electronics the wires are attached to. In time they will corrode and you will have never-ending phantom problems. I had a 2008 Infiniti G35x that was totaled by my insurance company because of "flood damage".

A lemon implies it was new and was never great from the factory floor. You bought a used, abused and neglected money pit of a car. I agree with the "get rid of it" assessment. If you want to continue going down this route, the first order of business is getting rid of the water.

Well, you certainly bought a money pit. Unless it was free, you are going to put more into it than it's worth. These are great cars if they are well-maintained and not abused. Sounds like yours is neither. Sorry that you got screwed.
ive sealed the sunroof with silicone sealant im not sure if its a good idea to seal the drain hole thats next to the wiper arm. if cleaned dried the sam out as best as i could and the problem is now intermitent and comes and goes i think best bet it to just keep a 10m on me at all times so when i turn it off i can just disconnect the battery
yes dry it out and make sure whatever caused water to get in is fixed. Sunroof drains would be a start to check.
Is the check engine light on? Or just getting a bunch of codes when scanned?
check engine light is on ive already replaced the components its throwing codes for code persist. i also got rid of all the water in the floor pan and blew out all connecters and front sam problems still persist loss of headlamp use high beam indicator on parking brake intermittent no crank no start

They sell remote controlled battery disconnects. There all over Amazon and eBay. Sometimes you have to many issues so disconnecting the battery is a easy way out but nothing gets repaired that way. Electrical problems caused by water can be very difficult to repair sometimes.
Have you seen videos on YouTube of replacing the canbus connectors in the floor pans? Looks like folks who had pooling water had corrosion on the connectors located in the footwell and replacing them helped with the dashboard lighting up like a Xmas tree.
