Sincity 07-08-2004 11:22 PM

Arghh.....when did Chris Bangle leave BMW and joined MBZ?

Sauceboy01 08-05-2004 11:10 PM

dont like it.. :-(

David N. 08-05-2004 11:27 PM

You know what's funny? All the guys on the bimmer boards are saying how they are so digusted by bangles designs that they are going to switch to MB. After these pics make their way over there, I doubt they'll want an MB either. :D :lol

As for the car itself, it looks like crap. It must be a photoshop. It's still too early to know for sure what the real car will look like. MB needs to evolve the current design, not change it completely. These pics represent a change that is as radical as the 202 to 203 change. Not necessary IMHO.

David.

I dunno car designs in general switch from curvy to sharp edges back to curvy and then back again.......actually looks ok except for the eyelids for the headlights....

its more acuraesque than bmwish

CitronC230K_03 08-06-2004 10:44 AM

id like to see an evolution of the current design as well rather than a complete make-over.

prodigy1387 08-06-2004 11:05 AM

i highly doubt that's the next c-class. i was noticing, if you look at the picture of the coupe convertible, the frame around the door window is still present on the part near the windshield, but MB never puts frames on the door windows of convertibles.

Benzonline 08-06-2004 11:08 AM

the interior is like the bimmers! Especially the doors :wwf:

mick1 08-06-2004 11:36 AM

hehe. maybe the european designers figured that they got to go with the ugly looks to make their cars more distinctive looking since the japanese luxury car manufacturers have already copied their standard designs.

CitronC230K_03 08-06-2004 12:12 PM

that's the road cadillac has gone down. just the ugly looks in general.
:hammer:

Incendiary 08-08-2004 10:55 PM

I really hope these are not accurate... Autobild did a pretty good job with the spy pics of the upcoming E90, though.

S_kLaSse 08-09-2004 12:27 AM

WOW... the grill on the first pic is so HUUUGGEEEE..

DiamondNoir2K5 08-22-2004 04:57 AM

So has anyone seen any other alleged spy photos of w204? To my eye, the photos, especially the 4D one at the top, look pretty sharp and not-photoshopped, but what do I know.

HITMAN 08-22-2004 05:01 AM

The w204 better be good

DiamondNoir2K5 08-22-2004 05:11 AM

Having just bought a 2005 w203, I kind of hope it is not.

I would have expected that seeing a w204 spy photo would make me say, "Sh*t, the w203 I just bought sucks, I really want that w204!!!" But those pics don't! Can't say the new look really does much for me.

Of course, I suppose a lot will obviously change in the design between now and mid-2006. I hope they bring back some curvaceous-ness to the hood that currently sets MB apart from other cars. The flattened hood in the w204 pics (and the ridgeline running along the door handles on each side) make it look kind of the like the bmw e90 pics that are out there.

Yep. It has to be an aesthetic masterpeice for me to trade my car for a W204. It will be tough to out due the classic 203 lines IMO. We will see...

DiamondNoir2K5 08-23-2004 03:34 AM

The w204 photo might look more "futuristic", but to me it doesn't look "better" than w203. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

FIXEDupW209 08-23-2004 03:40 AM

a lil old but the coupe kinda looks like a TL from the back. i like the tl's looks so it all works out.

Tandrek 08-23-2004 08:22 PM

It's an Acura TL with a MB Grill... hardly a revolutionary design. I do think it looks much better than the current POS C230 Coupe due to the hideous back on the current model. Depending on the ride quality, luxury amenities, and interior... I may purchase one.

Sauceboy01 08-23-2004 08:58 PM

anyone have any updated/newer shots of the potential W204?

Better buy a Buick - rest assured, it will never be "hideously" out ot ordinary.

Great logic you've got there, chief. If I tell you that I like the new CLK500, will you tell me to marry it?! :wall:

nicedeboy 08-24-2004 01:27 AM

If its going to come, its going to come! LOL Get use to it or move on.

Incendiary 08-24-2004 02:04 AM

Is the new W204 C-class going to have convertibles as part of its line-up, like the BMW 3-series and Audi A4 line-ups do? If so, does that mean the CLK line is going to be scrapped? :nix:
