2002 C240 Classic - Orion Blue Beast!!
You know what's funny? All the guys on the bimmer boards are saying how they are so digusted by bangles designs that they are going to switch to MB. After these pics make their way over there, I doubt they'll want an MB either. :lol
As for the car itself, it looks like crap. It must be a photoshop. It's still too early to know for sure what the real car will look like. MB needs to evolve the current design, not change it completely. These pics represent a change that is as radical as the 202 to 203 change. Not necessary IMHO.
David.

C320 Coupe
i highly doubt that's the next c-class. i was noticing, if you look at the picture of the coupe convertible, the frame around the door window is still present on the part near the windshield, but MB never puts frames on the door windows of convertibles.

hehe. maybe the european designers figured that they got to go with the ugly looks to make their cars more distinctive looking since the japanese luxury car manufacturers have already copied their standard designs.

So has anyone seen any other alleged spy photos of w204? To my eye, the photos, especially the 4D one at the top, look pretty sharp and not-photoshopped, but what do I know.

Having just bought a 2005 w203, I kind of hope it is not.
I would have expected that seeing a w204 spy photo would make me say, "Sh*t, the w203 I just bought sucks, I really want that w204!!!" But those pics don't! Can't say the new look really does much for me.
Of course, I suppose a lot will obviously change in the design between now and mid-2006. I hope they bring back some curvaceous-ness to the hood that currently sets MB apart from other cars. The flattened hood in the w204 pics (and the ridgeline running along the door handles on each side) make it look kind of the like the bmw e90 pics that are out there.

It's an Acura TL with a MB Grill... hardly a revolutionary design. I do think it looks much better than the current POS C230 Coupe due to the hideous back on the current model. Depending on the ride quality, luxury amenities, and interior... I may purchase one.

Is the new W204 C-class going to have convertibles as part of its line-up, like the BMW 3-series and Audi A4 line-ups do? If so, does that mean the CLK line is going to be scrapped?
