ESL/leaving the esl out of the column

Hey i wanted to know if i take out an esl (that works fine) out of the column so it won’t lock the wheels if it fails can i just leave it somewhere maybe ziptie it will i be able to drive normally ,i watched and reseached quite a lot but i couldn’t find anyone who did that thank you

Yep...members have posted doing just that. If it fails it's hanging right there for an emulator to be plugged in. Unfortunately you usually still need to take out the EIS, to send it and the key to the Emulator Fairy.

Thanks i guess it’s not a bad idea then what a pain of a problem those esl are
