EVAP System Troubleshooting Help Needed

I have a 2013 C300 Sport 4Matic, and have been fighting EVAP codes for months. Fortunately the car still runs great, it's just the annoyance of having the CEL illuminated. Current codes are P0455 and P0456 for EVAP system large and small leaks, and P0496 for EVAP system high purge flow. Throughout troubleshooting it now has a new OEM gas cap, new purge valve, new vent valve on the charcoal canister, and I've smoke tested it with no leaks found. Based on research it appears the only thing left to troubleshoot/replace is the fuel tank pressure sensor, which appears to be a major PITA because it's on the top of the gas tank and there's no access panel. Is there anything I'm missing, and is there an effective way to diagnose this sensor? I have a Launch X431 MB specific code reader, so I have some activation capability.

I dont have much experience with evap systems. I had replaced my purge valve when the car would not start after getting gas unless I pushed the gas pedal to the floor and was getting code P2422.

Cant you get to the fuel pressure sensor by removing the rear seat? https://www.pelicanparts.com/techart...eplacement.htm

Unfortunately the fuel tank pressure sensor is right in the center top of the fuel tank, where there isn’t an access panel.

I see that now That is crazy to me, having to drop the gas tank just to replace a sensor. Here I was thinking being able to access the fuel pumps from under the seat was a great feature.

Yup, $100 part that takes 8 hours to replace. Great job Mercedes.

At this point I’m sort of at a loss as to what else could be wrong. It doesn’t have any leaks and I’ve replaced everything else.

I have the M272 engine with PZEV, so im even more confused about what is in my car when it comes to the fuel system

Im seeing two pressure sensors in the diagrams. One looks like the fuel tank pressure sensor, then another that is at the fuel pump.

With the scanner is it properly reading the fuel pressure?

Does the scanner list the specific sensor B4/3 or B4/7?

have you inspected under the seat for any leaks? I guess you would probably smell gas pretty bad inside the car if there were.

- Part 30 (blue) B4/3 Fuel Tank Pressure sensor 1635422818
- Part 120 (red) B4/7 Fuel Pump pressure Sensor 0009051100

The sensor under the rear seat access panel on the left side is for fuel pressure, it actually has fuel running through it. The sensor used for EVAP is measuring the air pressure in the tank, it’s not in direct contact with fuel. Correct no inside fuel smell and no smoke during the smoke test, so I don’t think there are leaks there.
