Hello all! hope everyone is doing well, just have some simple questions, so plan is to use the 2015 e400 coupe donor car (c207) to swap a 2013 c300 sport to the twin turbo variant of the m276, I’ve done swaps in the past but nothing on a Mercedes. Anything fabrication related and actually mounting the engine in there is not a worry to me, from my understanding the w204/c207 platforms are extremely extremely similar anyway so mounting shouldn’t be an issue, I’ve been reading quite a few posts about 157/278 swaps and I’d just like to know what’s the best way to program everything? XENTRY? a different platform of scanner/programmer? something like an Autel? thanks for any answers. have a great day everybody!
Definitely XENTRY will be the way to go. Plus, check with @BenzNinja if he can help you with the programming.
thank you a lot! I’ve heard some stuff saying XENTRY not connected to Mercedes servers or online or whatever can’t program modules to a new car but wasn’t completely sure is that was true. I’ll get myself a XENTRY system then.

@BenzNinja can connect to online servers when needed. He was able to get the security code from Mercedes servers for my COMAND when it locked up for some reason. Check his website at www.benzninja.com. He can also point you to good sources for the C4 Multiplexer that XENTRY uses. You will need a Windows laptop and a refurbished Lenovo ThinkPad X260 series from Amazon is perfect for $165. BenzNinja sends the XENTRY software (and WIS, EPC, Vediamo, DTS Monaco, etc.) on an SSD that you install in the laptop.
