Hello,

Looking for advice to start troubleshooting.

The interior lights, radio, speedometer dash do not work. I charged the battery all night and still have the same issue.
Battery is brand new and charger says 12.9V
attached is a picture of a component that got hot.
I am at a loss of what to check first. Thanks for any ideas.

Have you had the alternator check? Get the car scanned if possible for any error.

Oh my, probably that easy issue. I will have it checked, I swear I replaced it 2 or 3 years ago.

Who installed the battery? From the burn marks id be worried the positive cable may be worn/damaged. Cant really tell from the photo but how is the condition of the wire I circled?

New battery was installed about 3-4 months ago, the burned part is recent.
