Extreme hesitation and juddering in stop and go traffic
I own a 2014 c200 CGI with 110,000 km on the dash, bought used in 2023. I can only describe my issue as a very noticeable hesitation for the car to pick up after slowing down in stop and go traffic. So this would be me letting my foot off the gas to slow down (which will drop the RPMs down to around 1k) and placing my foot back on the gas afterwards vibrates the whole car with the RPMs "struggling" in between 1.2 - 1.4k RPM. This usually requires me to step harder on the gas pedal (at around 70% pressure) everytime just to upshift and get moving but it always feels like an unpleasant jolt forward. This issue is most common when in 'C' mode but it also occurs occasionally on 'S' mode.
I've already replaced the ATF fluid immediately after picking up the car, transmission and engine mounts have also been changed recently. I've visited several Mercedes specialists to try and troubleshoot this issue but the most common response I get is that this is "normal" and that's just how the 7G-tronic transmission works. No error codes, no messages on STAR, nothing out of the ordinary at all.
The only temporary solution I've found is by resetting the throttle every couple of weeks which makes that upshift from 2nd gear onwards less of a struggle but it eventually returns to the same state again after some time.
At this point, I'm not even sure if it's an issue with the gearbox or simply an ECU malfunction but I know for certain that this shouldn't be a "normal" occurrence.
I'd appreciate any advice or stories of any similar experiences!
