intermittent starting problem (ESL emulator installed)
Hi,
I got ESL emulator installed at my car about a year ago. I tried to start my car yesterday afternoon, but it did not start, The remote key was working fine as it can lock and unlock the doors. When I inserted the key after unlock, the display is on, but no airbag light is on when I turn key once. Somehow the issue was resolved after several inserting or unlocking/locking. But this happened again today. I wonder if anyone has similar issues. I guess it's not ESL, as I have an emulator and the steering wheel was not locked but not sure if it's related to EIS. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. For the reference, I've checked the fuses related to engine start, but not the green relay yet.

Get a proper Mercedes scan tool and scan for codes. Then come back and tell us what you found.
Don't overlook the possibility of your starter starting to fail. When starters fail, there is no turnover of the engine.
