Mercedes Benz c220 cdi 2008
I have a 2008 Mercedes-Benz C220 CDI (OM646 EVO) with a 5G automatic transmission, and I'm experiencing an issue.
During hard acceleration, the car sometimes (not always) accelerates unevenly—it pulls normally, then loses power for a second, then accelerates normally again, and this cycle repeats.
First, I replaced the fuel temperature sensor because it was showing an error, but that didn’t solve the problem. Now, I occasionally get a P0426 error code on the diagnostics. This issue only occurs at speeds above 70 km/h. Injectors are ok, dpf and egr also is ok,
I also checked the intercooler hoses, and they are fine.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

My car was losing power kinda like it shuts off for a second and then came back. I could not find a issue and had no codes.
However I noticed that it was happening on a shift point. I did the manual shift adaption process where you drive the car and manually shift 5 times for each gear change. It took me a few tries to get used to how and when it wanted me to shift. But once going thru all the shift points and all the coast down shift points my power loss issue is now gone.
So I believe the car saw the delayed/weird shift and pulled power until it finally shifted.
Hope some of that info helps ya out.

first of all, many factors can force the car into Limp mode (that instant limited cease of engine power), starting from engine mounts to many other problems (transmission/transOil state and functionning, air circuit, vapor cerciot ...) most of those can only come out of electrical defects to a certain component (a sensor, wiring, chemical (water infiltration)...) so what you should do if not linking your case of limp mode to a visual/sensational cause is to scan your car with a pro tool or get the help of an expert to localise where to work on, finally i'd say good luck
