C180 Avantgarde – Fan Running Nonstop & No Hot Air
I am driving a C180 Avant-Garde Auto 2011 model.
Here’s what I’ve noticed:
- The radiator fan runs constantly, the moment I start the car, the fan kick in even on cold start.
- The heater only blows cold air, even when set to maximum heat.
- I found that one pipe connected to the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor broken
- Could a leaking MAP sensor pipe cause these symptoms?
- Would replacing the pipe resolve the fan and heater issue, or should I be looking elsewhere as well?

No heat may be a blend air door in the dash not working properly.
I would scan the car with a Mercedes specific obd scanner.
Im surprised you dont have a check engine light on with that broken valve.
I took the car to a mechanic who ran a diagnostic scan, and it pointed to a failing thermostat. I've placed an order for a replacement and will be taking the car in on Saturday to have it fitted. Holding thumbs that this will resolve the issue!
