Mann filters cheap on Amazon

I was looking around and noticed the Mann intake and cabin air filters on Amazon for pretty low prices.

Good products at good prices. For anyone who doesn’t know, most filters in Mercedes original equipment boxes are Mann filters.

I've been using the Mann filters for the oil, intake and cabin air filters. I once bought an oil filter at the MB dealer and sure enough it was stamped Mann on it with the MB logo, same exact filter.

I did have a different brand cabin air filter in because I received it for free. The brand is A-Premium and can find them sold on Amazon. The filter was ok but the filter material does not feel as thick as the Mann filter. I would not use them again.

I replaced the filter today and it looks clean and probably dont even have to replace it. This is probably because I use the pre-filters before the blower. I wrote a thread about them before here: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...-filter-2.html

I think the pre-filters are a great idea. I cant believe Mercedes lets unfiltered air thru the blower fan. While replacing the filter earlier I reached my hand up in there and the inside of the plastic vent leading to the filter was covered in stuck on filth. Cleaned the best I could with a damp microfiber towel.

I likewise jumped on the pre-filter bandwagon and they do catch a lot. And a lot of that ends up on the blower motor itself.

Thats a great advertisement right there for needing the filter.

The way that vent area is designed there are holes that lead directly into the car thru the dash board. When the air recirculate button is pressed the little door in front of the blower fan closes and air is sucked in thru those holes. I was looking around on ebay and alot of the used blower motors look filthy. Reminds me of a a ceiling fan where the blades collect dust and have to be cleaned every so often.
