Transmission stalls and jerky W204 C250 CDI
Hey all, I have a 2011 C250 CDI Facelift driven 120k kms [75k miles] (with the 5 speed 722.6 trans, yes i know a facelift with a 5 speed...)
So, it has recently developed a new problem in this winter season, now mind you I live in India so it doesn't get too cold here, single digit degrees maybe, no negative.
When I cold start the car in lets say the early morning and put it into R or D within like 2-3 minutes, the engine straight up stalls cuz the rpms drop too low, now i notice normally when the car is a bit more warmed up and i shift into gear, the rpm fluctuates quite a bit but not enough to stall, this was the first time it stalled on me.
and then when I drive off (even after a couple minutes of warm up), the transmission is jerky at first, not so noticeable when it shifts in drive but especially when shifting into P or N at back at a red light or something, jerks quite a bit especially coming back into D.
Then, when warmed up properly after a couple minutes of driving, it starts working as normal like nothing was wrong, shifts beautifully and smoothly and thats usually when I start driving a bit harder.
As for service, car has had trans fluid changed 2 times (latest one was in 2024) I read about a tcu reset recently and I'll try it but I doubt it'll affect this particular issue.
I think it's using engine Hydraulics to shift from P to D and so when the engine is cold, it could be that which is weak which causes it to stall? Idk honestly
Any advice is appreciated

I'm having a similar issue on C300 v6 with the 7 speed trans. I'm going to replace two solenoid's inside the pan. one for torque converter clutch and the other is black and i forgot what it does. but someone told me they stick sometimes so a fluid change and solenoid replacement in the spring to see if it helps.
