The parts department at a Mercedes dealer will be able to explain part number supersession and whether "new services old" in this instance. It is best to have a dealer responsible for this determination.

Thank you for answering my question!When I checked the 2018 EPC, it stated that only rebuilt parts were available (0823). However, when I checked the more recent version, both the rebuilt 0823 and the 1123 without a footnote appear together, so I wasn't sure which one to choose.If either is acceptable, I'll go with the 1123, but I'll check with the dealer first.
