Under the car - over the engine or in the wheel well

Under the car - over the engine or in the wheel well
So - need to put a new alternator into the C300 (fun times). I have seen it accessed three ways....
Thoughts?
- Over the car (reach down with a swivel head)
- Under the car (this would be a PITA with where the car is)
- Through the PS wheel well....(well, this would be a PITA where the car is as well).
Thoughts?

On a RWD 08 C300 I did it through the engine bay. Pelican Parts has a good guide. It does make it easier to have the car on stands to access bolts from the underside but the alternator does not get extracted from the bottom.
I think the task is labelled a 2/5 difficulty on Pelican Parts. I concur with that assessment.

Yeah, super easy - took 45 minutes. The only real PITA (from UNDER) is the rear most lower bolt that has to be put in with the wire holder before the unit is in position. If the unit is sitting where it lives the bolt does not clear the frame. The video I found of someone doing it from above only. Sure, sure sure....that video should be removed from YouTube.
