Hi all
The good news is that even though I want a lot of options, the C200 is within my budget.
The bad news is that both UK option packages include the panoramic sunroof and these packages are the only way of getting full electric seats, ambient lighting, keyless start, entry and auto boot. I'd like these options but I don't want a panoramic sunroof because:
Do you think as the June UK release date for the W205 approaches we'll see more flexibility in options and packages?

I'd like these options but I don't want a panoramic sunroof because: - I feel it's something more suited to larger vehicles.
- I don't want to risk creaks, rattles, cracks and other noises that many others with panoramic sunroofs have reported in these forums.
- Since air conditioning became common the number of cars with sunroofs has dropped substantially and so MB UK's decision to include the panoramic sunroof in both option packages seems odd.

They are including the pano in both options because there will not be a standard sunroof. Most people will want the pano

and a lot will want a standard variant.....that's the problem i believe
to be honest, i would rather vinyl wrap a light colored car to give it a panoramic roof look without actually having it.
I've had a sunroof in every car I've owned since 2002, and NEVER use it. Maybe it's just me? Heck, I even had a 2005 forrester (ll bean) that had a HUGE sunroof, and still didn't use it for some reason.

I guess sunroofs and pano roofs are less popular here in the UK than in sunnier places like CA. I've just done a few searches on the used car stock held by a nearby Mercedes dealer; about 15% have a sun or pano roof which is more than I expected but the bigger proportion was pushed up by larger vehicles than the C Class.Originally Posted by joshg1001

Same here with the last couple of cars I had with both air conditioning and sunroofs. Also because they're so close to ear level even very minor squeaks or rattles can be really annoying especially now modern cars are so quiet.

Funny thing is that I made my comment about other people because I thought people liked sunroofs. I never open mine, not even the shade. I couldn't care less about it from a functional standpoint, but I think a car in the 21st century would look weird without one.
