NEED HELP! Wait or not?
Ok guys, I'll lay out my situation for you quick and easy:
- I have a lease on a 2013 C250 , ends in December, but I can trade in September at no charge right on time for the C400 4matic.
- my price range is around the 50,000~ Mark and I'm looking to lease.
Here are my options for cars:
2014 Audi S4
2015 C400 4matic
OR
I wait for the w205 coupe(coming out in 2016) or C450 (releasing in early 2015, so id probably buy a beater and drive it around til then)
Drive a Beater while waiting for the coupe or The C450 AMG, or straight trade up for a loaded C400 4matic in September?

You think so? I'm kinda looking for a sport and sensible car, an S4 would do it well, but a C450 or even 400 would probably be the higher quality, and maybe even faster package. I'm a Benz guy, so most likely going for the Benz. You don't think the C450 would be worth it?

The C450 is pointless. Its just the C400 with a tune.
Buy the C400, wait a few months and buy a tune when the aftermarket guys figure it out.
Instead of driving a beater till the C450 comes out, it makes more sense to buy a C400 and turn it into a C450 when the tuners release ECU upgrades.
I bet the ECU upgrade will be released for the C400 around the same time the C450 is released anyway... if not it will be before.
Good Luck!

But it'll be a little sportier, have AMG braking system, most likely more aggressive suspension tuning for better performance, (possibly a performance exhaust)and possibly offer RWD, there are some really good benefits too it. Power wise, yeah, it'll be real easy to tune a C400 to similar power levels.

If MB put that much work into a vehicle it would be called the C45-AMG instead of the C450.
Anyway I don't know what it could have, maybe you can make the decision to wait or not when and IF they announce a C450.

If it had any onf those things then it would carry an ///AMG badge.

examples: The competition, Audi S4, and BMW 335i. They're going for these guys, not going to their level means they won't sell cars.

The C450 will be like the A250 Sport by AMG that is sold in Europe. It is a AMG tuned vehicle regarding the suspension and other things, so no it won't be just a C400 with a tune. This is a new class of vehicle they're going for like BMW has M Sport and Audi has S and Cadillac has V Sport, not full on M, RS, or V vehicles, but something in between. The C450 is a most welcome change to Mercedes' usual practice, if such a car is coming. Since the 2015 GL450 has a 362hp version of the new 3L turbo V6 it makes sense this version of the new V6 will show up elsewhere. The E400/450 with this engine (362hp) would be a much better replacement for the E550.
