Run flat tyres on C Class W205 iimpact on comfort
I have become aware recently that MB continues to shift toward fitting run flat tyres on new models including the new C Class, recent road tests conducted in real world conditions (UK) are highlighting a number of issues with the comfort of both standard spring and Airmatic suspension systems over patched road/uneven surfaces. Has anyone with W205’s got any comments re this as a potential issue?

I guess because the 19" wheel option is only available for the AMG Line (at least in the UK) they will be run flats like the 18" tyres.
However, irrespective of whether they're run flats or not the 19" tyres are low profile (225/40 and 255/35) and they will inevitably crash in potholes. This web site has a useful "tyre comfort" calculator for given tyres sections: http://www.club80-90syncro.co.uk/Syn...calculator.htm The comfort values for the 19" tyres are 2.9 and 2.8 whereas the 18" are 4.7 and 4.2 and the 17" tyres are 6.4 The scale runs from 0 (very bad) to 10 (very good) comfort.
