From the following report, it looks like not only the existence of the rumored C450 is confirmed, but also its price (however it applies to China market only at this moment) is there.

I'm more willing to believe the C450 will be near the 52k range.
Chinese prices are like the rest of the world, much higher than US prices. The margins for luxury cars in the US is ridiculously low. So the jump between trims usually is smaller in these markets because the cars are already expensive.

if thats the case i might as well pack it in now and cancel my order. i have around 13k of options so if it carries a starting price of 47 then we are looking at 60k and thats before other fees.
thats an 800 dollar a month price tag. no way am i paying that much. its a bit depressing because i come here every day and have been waiting for weeks now (ordered in may) and for me to not even get it would be sad
