19" AMG Black wheel
Anyone have a picture of the 19" AMG wheel upgrade on a car yet? Im trying to see what the black w/ polished surface looks like in real life.
If it's like the sport pack C300 wheels on the outgoing W204, i'm not really interested as I don't like that look....

i know i'm replying to myself, but the autoblog review of the C400 had the polished w/ black wheels and the car looks awesome with them. changing my order to the 19"s

Where do you live?
Just be prepared... they most likely will be anywhere from 500-1500 extra.
BUT and here is the BUT... do you live where you get snow/cold weather (ie weather under 40 degrees F)?
The 19s ONLY come with SUMMER tires... even with 4matic your car will be useless in the snow. I am talking dangerously unsafe. You will need to purchase all-seasons or dedicated winter tires.
You can have new all seasons waiting for you at dealer and they can swap, and you can sell your OEM summers... but be prepared to take a dip... I would say you would probably get 500 for the set at best.
Good all-seasons for that size will likely run about 1000... for Michelin Pilot A/S 3 ... which are the best all-seasons you can get.
So don't just add the (let's say 1000) price to the 19" order...
but add new tires to that price as well if you live anywhere that it snows or goes below 40 degrees F)

my dealer had the 782 (18" 5-spoke) as a $500 charge because they couldnt figure out how to specify the standard wheel on the C400 order. I'm getting him to change it to the 19" if thats the case, as I'm already expecting the $500 charge at this point...although I knew in the back of my mind it wasn't right.
And yes, I know how summer tires work...I usually swap out in the winter anyway...but isn't that why the wife has an A4 quattro?
