PenFed v. Truecar v. Costco auto buying
How useful will these Costco, Penfed, etc car buying service will I be able to get given the car is a brand new model and will be popular ? Dealer usually don't negotiate (that much) on a brand new model and popular car. I mean you usually get anywhere from 3% to 10% from these service even without negotiating.
I remembered last year when I was about to get the CLA45, some dealers even marked up a premium over the MSRP.

If it was anything like with the CLA, when I tried the costco program a few months ago, the discount was about $500 off MSRP.

Actually, if you go through Penfed with their 36 months loan, they offer 0% interest.
But I am just wondering if the dealers will even honor any of these car buying service with the new model and if it will be equivalent to any discount you can get negotiating the price yourself.
